One of the most anticipated Appalachian festivals of 2024, the Carolina Mountain Cheese Festival! In Black Mountain NC, Oak and Grist Distilling Co. Host the annual Carolina Mountain Cheese Festival. Many local dairies, creameries, and other food vendors have their products available for enjoyment and purchase. Unfortunately due to hurricane Helene it was cancelled this year. Cheese Fest is one of the top fall festivals in Appalachia and a heritage festival of the Appalachian region.
